The interviewer and interpreter were stunned on several occassions when they discovered that Peiper spoke perfect English; after they had exchanged remarks about his possible participation in the Malmedy incident. They were left with thier jaws hanging open for a full half-minute when Peiper corrected the interpreter.

FMS # 15 (2ndG PC)   The Führer-Begleit Brigade (The Brigade under the command of Remer) in the Ardennes Offensive: 16 Dec 44 to 26 Jan 45, Parts I & II., by Generalmajor Otto Ernst Remer.  This account of Hitler's Escort Brigade saw extensive action during the early fighting around Saint Vith.  The Escort Brigade had direct orders by General Manteuffel to assist in capturing St. Vith during the first few days of the offensive, but General Remer ignored those orders and bypassed the village.   General Remer's insubordination could very well have determined the success or failure of the counteroffensive as a whole.  You be the judge!  41 pages, 6 maps, VG.  $30.00

German language report written by Oberst Wolf Maucke, dated 9 October 1949, concerning the 115th Panzer Grenadier Regiment of the 15th Panzer Grendier Divison in the Ardennes Offensive. The division was subordinated to the 26th VGD and participated in the siege on Bastogne. Interestingly enough, the I. Battalion of the Panzer Regiment 115 disappeared altogether since 25 December 1944.
