General Info

The archival research program is designed to assist researchers who are unable to access the National Archives in person.

Research for German officers is limited, for the most part, to SS officers and enlisted men. However, a substantially large collection of Wehrmacht (Army) officers exists. Unfortunately, no index or finding aids exist. Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine officer files are held only at the Bundesarchives in Germany.

NOTICE: Due to the Global War on Terror, the archives are now open only one weekend per month. The dates for 2008 are 19 January, 23 February, 15 March, and 19 April. Make your reservations for research now!
